In 1987, a consulting engineering firm and an electrical contractor joined forces to found Poly-Énergie. During its first five years of operation, the company specialized in self-financed, turnkey energy projects, involving the conversion and improvement of public lighting networks. The maintenance of these networks was also assured during the project reimbursement period. In 1992, Poly-Énergie diversified its operations and adapted a project approach and financing strategy tailored to fit the building construction market while extending its services to the private and institutional sectors. En 2006, Poly-Énergie s’associe à Génécor Experts-Conseils inc., ce qui permet d’offrir à leur vaste clientèle commerciale des services de pointe en efficacité énergétique particulièrement dans le traitement de projets admissibles aux subventions du Plan Global d’Efficacité Énergétique d’Hydro-Québec.
